Newsletter News & Composting Innoventions

-- Chatter -- Well I am officially back in the office as of yesterday and spent the last 2 1/2 days dealing with all the communications received during the few days off that I was out of the office. Those of you who are on our mailing list have already received the newly designed newsletter, which was just sent out yesterday. The Brummet's Muse is now a bi-weekly newsletter and will be released around the 1st and 15th of each month. The newsletter will continue to share information on the upcoming featured guests and topics on our two online radio shows, where Dave and I are appearing next and inspiring quotes. I am currently learning all the new tools we have available for this newsletter format and as our knowledge of this program we are using improves, so will the newsletter. We have new sign up widget inviting people to subscribe to the Brummet's Muse on this blog (upper right), on the first page of our site: www.brummet.ca - and on our myspace site - www.myspace.com/c

polystyrene recycling & solar technology

-- Recommended Resource -- http://www.solarbotanic.com - SolarBotanic’s work focuses on artificial trees that make use of renewable energy from the sun and wind, they are an efficient, clean and environmentally sound means of collecting solar radiation and wind energy. SolarBotanic Nanoleaves are able to pick up any light, from the visible spectrum to the invisible spectrum, Infrared light, while producing millions and millions of Pico watts day in day out. -- Polystyrene Recycling -- Of course the best way to reduce or consumption of polystyrene (commonly referred to as "styrofoam" and "packaging peanuts") is to avoid the use of it all together. There are many packaging alternatives that are light and affordable for shipping needs, we can choose to use reusable or compostable disposable cutlery, plates and drink cups, we can bring our own container from home when visiting restaurants - rather than asking for their "to-go" container you can use your own.

Pursuit of Happiness & the Planet's Health

-- Quote of the Day -- “ (People) don’t know that they are actually causing these feelings, they don’t know how to manage them… and so they become victims of their own feelings. …Inner Bonding Facilitators help people learn how to take responsibility for their feelings, what they are doing to cause their pain and how to manage their feelings so they can move into personal empowerment. …They have to get beyond their conditioning. …Our left brain is the Wounded Self – the part of the mind that absorbs our fears and false beliefs, we have to move into the right brain which can access love and truth. …The wounded self’s intention is to try and be safe through some kind of control, where as when we move into the Loving Adult we are learning to be safe through taking loving action. ” ~ Margaret Paul – Aug 18, 2009 The quote above was excerpted from a recent interview that aired on Conscious Discussions Talk Radio show where Margaret and I talked about Healing Fear and Pain . Conscious Commerce & Chatter :)

-- Chatter -- Well this last couple of weeks have been insane as far as the schedule goes... between early fall yard and garden chores, lawn maintenance, October radio show outlines and other behind the scene activities, weeding and processing harvests - it has been a lot of work to balance the office and house work in with it all. WHEW! Finally a bit of a break in the crazy pace we've been keeping! :) My Aunt & Uncle are visiting later this week, and I expect that it will be an all-consuming visit when they are here. I so look forward to speaking with them... my Aunt had a health issue recently and to see her again will be an amazing gift. Today finds me in the office for most of the morning before I go out to finish painting the shed (last coat!) and the last few touch ups with stain on 2 boards we had to put on the fence recently. After that - another garden harvest. Sometime inbetween all this I'm to do the yoga excersises & walk the dogs, bake cookies and clean the

quote today !

- - Quote of the Day - - “That intuition voice popped in my mind and said ‘Jill the world doesn’t have to work that way’ and it was at that moment I realized that I wanted to be somebody who showed everyone to love and embrace who they are and how to look for the beauty in everyone. …Love is the ultimate energy, and that we are all built with certain energies for a reason, and we all can be incredible communicators. …We all have the ability to enter a room and light it up and make everyone feel excited. …We are all so energy-sensitive; we pick up on each other’s energy. …Your thoughts dictate an energy that either disconnects people from you or draws people to you – we are human and we need to feel the full spectrum of our emotions. …So don’t ever stop your feelings but when they come up you can examine them, talk to them and work with them to develop your highest self.” ~ Jill Speigel - June 29, 2009 This quote above comes from an interview that aired on the Conscious Discussions Talk

writing resources & discussions

-- Quote of the Day -- “This is the fun of writing, being able to investigate all different arenas. …I love the fact that I have to go do research and discover whole new areas. …Quality of product, to me, is an assistant to marketing – it is so much easier to market a book that you feel good about. …I had to learn so much; I had to figure out the distribution… how to get into stores and do book signings, where to do releases and how to get reviews on line… The best advice I could give out there is to enter awards. I think entering awards is paramount. …the doors that awards open up are amazing… it gives it the seal of confidence – so it says to the reviewer, blog owner, etc that “you are not wasting your time in taking this guy/or woman seriously”. …Don’t think you’re just going to send blog owners a letter to blog owner (etc) and say “hey I have a book out there, take a look at it”. You have to have a whole distribution system in place to get them a copy to them and work with them.
