-- Quote of the Day --

"The world is round and the place which may seem like the end may also be only the beginning."

Today's featured guest on the Conscious Discussions Talk Radio show was journalist Debbie Jordan - author of The World I Imagine: A Creative Manual for Ending Poverty and Building Peace, in which she offers solutions to many social issues such as poverty. She is an active volunteer and has been involved in the world of writing since the 1980’s.

Regular listeners may remember hearing Debbie’s name before – That is because she appeared as a featured guest on May 12, 2009 – the interview (in which we discussed today’s educational & health care systems, peace & poverty issues & some insider’s insight into the world of writing) was titled: Ending Poverty; Building Peace.

In today's interview we define "poverty", why it plays a role in creating peace, and the three buzzwords that politicians and sociologists tend to use when discussing this issue: systemic, holistic and systematic. We also learned how education, health and consumerism all play a role in peace.
