Some Thoughts on Peace

-- Quote of the Day --

“…Each person is an individual. We should treat our children in this manor as they are exposed to information. They should be given more autonomy in being able to study those things on their own, at their own rate but given the help that they need. …Labeling the students as failures if they are unable to comprehend a subject at a certain time rate along with their peers – they should be allowed to go ahead in areas where they are strong and given help where they need assistance. …Give the students a chance to get involved with the community at an early age (by tutoring each other in school). …Education should be a life-long habit and should be encouraged in society to continue education, be it formal or informal. …There are so many different ways to learn – and that is a very important aspect in the deficiencies in school. Most subjects are taught in one or at most two ways – there are more than seven ways to learn to read! …The connection between poverty and violence conflicts comes from so much frustration, and fear and hopelessness in people, and these are the feelings that feed into the tendency toward violence. --
There is something wrong with a society that this attitude is promoted. We need to get back into the communities and empower individuals so that they are learning to appreciate knowledge and to contribute to the community themselves. And then they will be able to have more hope in their lives and have less of a tendency toward violence.”
