Showing Apprecition...& Short Story Author

-- Quote of the Day --

"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets,
so love the people who treat you right.
Forget about the ones who don't,
and believe that everything happens for a reason.
If you get a chance, take it.
If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said that it'd be easy,
they just promised it would be worth it.
"

~ Bob Marley

December is AIDS Awareness Month and you've likely seen many articles in the print media or coverage on TV. If you can, please do try and participate in the local organizations awareness activities. Ironically, Dec 2nd was "Together We Can Change the World Day" and in the case of the health issues that face the population on this little marble we call a planet - we can, we can all contribute and make this world a healthier place.

Today is National Cookie Day (USA) and this is a perfect time to consider those gifts we talked about earlier on this blog - goodie trays make for an exceptional gift option that people really enjoy. Later today, or tomorrow, in fact I plan on finishing the last of my baking duties as well. This is a great time to get together with your group (family, church group, recovery group, youth group, etc.) and have everyone do a double batch of one variety of their favorite xmas tray treat and share equally. You can then all have an amazing array of gift trays for any cause you want to raise funds for - or just to show appreciation to the amazing individuals in our lives. Consider fire crews, vet offices, paramedics, hospice workers, senior centers, the local hospital staff... charities that serve the under privileged, etc. There are all kinds of places around your community that would really love to feel appreciated and, hopefully, help rejuvinate the passion for what they do.
