plastics, children, literacy & more!

-- Quote of the Day --

 "A belief is nothing more than a chronic pattern of thought,
and you have the ability - if you try even a little bit - to begin a new pattern;
to tell a new story; to achieve a different vibration;
to change your point of attraction.

An interesting new system has been put in place at an automated home appliance recycling center that allows for the separation of three of the main types of plastics in appliances. By allowing for this  separation the company, Green Cycle Systems, is able to expand their plastic recovery by about 6,400 tons - and this amount recovered plastic becomes a resource to manufacturers, which can prevent 7,300 tons of carbon emissions (as opposed to creating new plastic).
